The success of the inaugural Indian Oceans Forum lay not just in the high-profile attendees, public advocacy, or the compelling content, but in its ability to serve as a launchpad for continued dialogue and action, with the Minderoo Foundation poised to carry the momentum forward to UNOC3.

The Indian Ocean is home to some of the world's most vibrant marine ecosystems, vital fisheries, and coastal communities, but without an organised platform it risked being overlooked at the United Nations Ocean Conference in France.

Hosted at a range of venues across Perth, the event experience was intentionally designed to be frictionless and high-touch, allowing attendees to focus entirely on the high-level dialogue and strategic partnerships necessary for ocean conservation.
The event also strategically coincided with the global launch of OCEAN with David Attenborough, a film developed in partnership with Minderoo Pictures, providing a powerful amplification opportunity for the Forum's message.

Sight’s expertise included managing the travel and logistics for attendees, consulting on content and stagecraft, venue and catering liaison, producing high quality environmental and scenic, providing stage and show crew.
The event also featured an eDNA citizen science activation with local schools on the iconic Cottesloe beach, bringing the experience beyond the walls of the University Club of Western Australia.
