Where we manage guest data on behalf of a client, we do so under that client's instructions and their privacy policy may also apply.

‍Depending on how you interact with us, this may include your name, job title, organisation, email address and phone number; messages and enquiries you send us; details needed to host you at an event, such as dietary requirements, accessibility needs and travel arrangements; photographs and footage taken at events; recruitment information such as your CV and portfolio; and technical data about your device and how you use our website, collected through cookies. We do not request national identification numbers through our website.

4. How we collect it
‍Most personal data comes directly from you through our website forms, email, phone and meetings. Some is shared with us by clients who engage us to produce an event, some is collected automatically when you browse our site, and some comes from publicly available professional sources when were search potential partners.

‍We use personal data to respond to enquiries and prepare proposals; to design, produce and deliver events and experiences; to look after guests safely and well; to keep in touch with clients and partners about our work; to send news and invitations you have asked to receive; to recruit; to run, secure and improve our website; and to meet our legal, accounting and regulatory obligations. We do not use automated decision-making that has a significant effect on you.

Where we hold data on behalf of a client, we may refer your request to them.

Sight operates globally, and our technology providers may store data in other countries. Whenever personal data moves across borders we ensure it is protected to a standard comparable to the law where it was collected, through contractual safeguards with our group companies and suppliers.

10. Security and retention
We protect personal data with appropriate technical and organisational measures, including access controls, encryption and staff training. We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, to meet legal and contractual obligations, or to resolve disputes, after which it is securely deleted or anonymised. If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we will notify you and the relevant regulator as the law requires.

11. Third-party links and children
Our website may link to venues, partners, clients and social media platforms whose privacy practices are their own. Our services are intended for businesses and professionals; we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18 through our website.
