Combining both a media event and gala launch, the challenge for Sight was to craft an experience that honored NYC's legacy but allowed Osaka's property to shine as the future brand location.

Crafting immersive stories from the brand's rich heritage allowed us to infused both culture and highlights within both the media dinner, and the gala finale event. Sight created expereince driven ideation where content aligned with a fusion of both created stories which were brought to life with music, dance, song and immersive lighting and decor.

For Waldorf Astoria’s debut in Japan, we set out to create a night where legacy met modernity, and New York’s timeless glamour danced with the spirit of Osaka.
The day began with grace and symbolism, as the ribbon was cut in Peacock Alley, a space steeped in Waldorf Astoria tradition, marking the official arrival of the brand on Japanese soil. As evening fell, guests stepped into a world reimagined. The hotel’s grand ballroom was transformed into a 1920s art deco salon, a journey told in three chapters–NYC, OSAKA, and FUSION–each unfolded through a tapestry of flavour, sound, and movement.
Culinary artistry from the Waldorf Astoria team met the soulful brilliance of local musicians and dancers. Moments of quiet awe gave way to joyful celebration, as cultures collided and harmonised in unexpected ways. The night crescendoed with cocktails and canapés at Canes and Tales and Peacock Alley, where the alchemy of Moët Hennessy Diageo and Japan’s leading mixologists brought a final sparkle to the evening.
